Ask Verain is the AI analyst in Verain Finance. It reads your ledger through read-only tools and answers with a table, chart or waterfall you can open, export or move into a report. Figures in its answers are checked against the data it retrieved.

How it answers

## It reads your books instead of guessing.

Every answer is built from tools that read your ledger: the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, KPIs, budget versus actual, trends and variance drivers, account and balance-sheet drill-downs, a search across your bookings, breakdowns by dimension, the cash forecast and its drivers, what is due and overdue, anomalies, unmapped accounts, the working-capital trend and a calculator. The tools are read-only, so a question cannot change your books.

What you get back

## Tables and charts, not a wall of text.

Answers come as tables, charts (bar, pie, series, treemap, Sankey, pivot), metric cards, comparisons, reconciliations or a short narrative. Export a table to CSV or Excel, print it, or insert it into a management report and make it live, so it follows the report from month to month.

Checked

## Figures checked against the data it retrieved.

The figures in an answer are checked against the data the tools returned, and charts and tables list the data sources behind them. A chart or table that fails the check is rebuilt rather than shown as it was.

Context

## It knows where you are.

Ask from a report and Verain knows the page you are on. It suggests follow-up questions, remembers your preferences, and keeps your conversations, so last month’s analysis is still there when you need it.
