# The monthly report, built on your ledger.

Management reports in Verain Finance are live views of your books. You build the pack once, the AI drafts commentary and checks the figures it writes against the data, and each month you roll it forward, publish a frozen edition and share it.

Build

## Begin with a starter, or describe what you need.

Pick one of 13 starters, from a monthly close or board report to an investor update, a cash briefing or a KPI scorecard. Or describe the report and adjust the sections the outline builder proposes. It checks each page against your data and tells you when there is nothing to show for the period.

- 17 live sources: P&L, monthly P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, KPIs, receivables, payables, the cash forecast, cost centres and more
- Every table, chart and KPI card is a live view of a report page. The AI chooses what to show, never the numbers.
- Simple mode for the monthly routine; Advanced mode with the outline, block settings and versions

Blocks

## Tables, charts and KPI cards that follow the report.

Show a block as a table, a compact table, a chart or KPI cards. Charts cover bar, line, area, waterfall, pie, combo and small multiples, with month or quarter windows and a comparison series. Cards show liquidity and working-capital health: current, quick and cash ratio, DSO, DPO and DIO with sparklines.

Each block can keep its own period and entity, its own columns and rows, a month, quarter-to-date or year-to-date basis, and a comparison with the previous period, last year, budget or forecast. Write around the figures with headings, callouts, images and inline period and entity chips.

Write

## Commentary that is checked, or left out.

Ask the AI how the month went and it drafts the commentary, showing what it was based on. Figures in the draft are checked against the data it was given: a sentence with a figure the data does not back, under the wrong row or from the wrong month is dropped rather than shown. Your own edits are only replaced when you ask.

- Key takeaways and a conclusion, one of each
- Help me write: shorter, more formal, corrected grammar or your own instruction, next to the original
- A copilot that inserts tables and charts, writes commentary, moves blocks and reviews the report for gaps
- Commentary is marked out of date when the figures or the period change

Check

## A health check before anything goes out.

Before you publish, the health check lists what to fix: blocks that failed or came back empty, a comparison with no plan behind it, a block pinned to another month, unmapped accounts, an open month or an ERP sync that is out of date. Failed blocks hold Publish until you acknowledge them.

- Suggestions for what a management report usually has and yours lacks, such as takeaways, cash or a budget comparison
- The biggest movements that no text mentions yet
- Changes since the last edition, including added and removed commentary
- Restore points before every AI turn and every ten minutes

Publish

## Roll forward, publish, and the edition stays put.

A report has one period and one entity. When the month closes, roll it forward and every block follows, unless you pinned it. Month-end control takes you through period, figures, commentary and changes before you publish.

A published edition freezes the figures and where they came from. Publishing again for the same period supersedes it, and the history is kept, with a PDF per version.

Share

## Share a frozen edition, never the draft.

Share a workspace link that asks readers to sign in, or a public link that expires after 7, 30, 90 or 365 days, once you confirm what it exposes. Revoke a link at once. For a workspace link, Seen by shows who opened it and how often; for a public link you see how many times it was viewed. Or send it by email to up to 20 people, each message with the takeaways and up to two charts.

- Draft access stays with you or your team
- Viewers read, editors and owners write, and entity scope applies

Read

## What your readers get.

A 2-minute brief at the top, a Present mode in 16:9 slides, a month scrubber, a Table and Chart toggle and the PDF. The PDF has a cover page with your logo and, for longer reports, a contents page, with running headers and footers and charts laid out landscape.

The result

## A report the board can open on any device.

The published edition reads the same in the browser and as PDF, and the numbers in it are the numbers in your ledger for that period.
