About

The truth within.

Verain comes from Vera (truth) and In (within). The belief behind the name is simple: the most valuable intelligence a company has is already inside it. Our work is to make it useful, and to make sure it stays yours.

The origin

Why we built Verain.

The first wave of enterprise AI asked companies to send their most sensitive data to someone else’s model and hope for the best. Most of those projects didn’t reach production: the tools didn’t know the business, they invented facts where facts mattered, and the intelligence was always rented.

We thought the model was backwards. The data that matters most already lives inside the company. The right approach is to build private intelligence from that data, run it on the model the company chooses, and keep ownership where it belongs. So we did, and we started with finance, where the value is fastest to prove.

Principles

What we believe.

Sovereignty.

Your intelligence belongs to you. Your data stays isolated to your tenant, and it stays yours: Verain trains no model on it.

Precision.

Institutional memory, not hallucination. Figures in answers are checked against the data the assistant retrieved.

Clarity.

Complex made plain. We respect the expert without burying them in jargon.

Ownership over dependency.

Bring the model you choose, and own the parts that define you.

A small team on purpose. We build deliberately, ship what’s real, and say so plainly when something isn’t ready yet.

The company

The company behind the product.

Verain B.V. is registered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands (KvK 42046326). We build for the European mid-market, host in the EU, and treat data sovereignty as an engineering requirement, not a marketing line.
