Twinfield reporting and consolidation with AI
Verain Finance connects to Twinfield and turns your general ledger into answers: management reporting, consolidation across all your offices, and a 13-week cash forecast, with an AI analyst that checks its figures against the ledger data it read before you see them.
What you get
Reporting from your own ledger.
Profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow and KPI dashboards, generated live from your books.
Every office under one consent.
One consent in Twinfield gives Verain access to every office the authorising user can see. A group with several offices does not connect them one by one.
Consolidation across entities.
Multiple entities combined, with intercompany eliminations and automatic difference detection. The group view and the entity view come from the same model, so they agree.
Deletions come through cleanly.
Twinfield keeps its own record of deleted transactions. Verain reads it with each nightly refresh, so an entry deleted in Twinfield also disappears from your reporting.
13-week cash forecast.
Built from open receivables and payables, recurring items and fixed outflows, with shortfall warnings flagged before they become a problem.
An AI analyst on your live numbers.
Ask in plain language, for example “why is Q3 gross margin down?”, and get the figure, the driver and the chart. Figures are checked against the data the answer read, and charts and tables list the data sources behind them.

How connecting works
- 1
Give consent at Twinfield.
You sign in on Twinfield’s own login page and give Verain access through OAuth. Verain’s client is certified by Wolters Kluwer, and your password never reaches us.
- 2
Your offices are read and mapped.
For each office you choose the period we start reading from. Chart of accounts, dimensions, relations and history are normalised into one governed model. The AI proposes the mapping and you confirm it.
- 3
Balances checked.
We check the balances against Twinfield during onboarding, and after every sync.
We do the connecting and mapping with you during onboarding. After that, a nightly refresh, set up during onboarding, pulls only what changed, so you start the day on current numbers.
How the connection works
Verain reads your offices through the Twinfield API. The facts, item by item:
- Authentication
- OAuth consent at login.twinfield.com, Twinfield’s own login page. Verain’s client is certified by Wolters Kluwer.
- What we read
- The general ledger, open receivables and payables, dimensions, relations and the list of deleted transactions.
- Refresh
- A nightly refresh, set up during onboarding, fetching only what changed. Deleted transactions come through Twinfield’s own feed.
- First sync
- From a start period you choose per office.
- Read-only
- The connector has no write path: nothing in it can change your books in Twinfield.
- Offices
- One consent covers every office the authorising user can see in Twinfield.
What it doesn’t do
Verain Finance reads your books and never writes to them. Your accounting stays in Twinfield, untouched. Mapping suggestions from the AI apply only after you confirm them, and anything the AI adds to a report is highlighted and can be undone. Worth knowing: Verain sees exactly the offices that the consenting user sees. To keep an office out of view, give consent with a user who has no access to it.
Who it’s for
A group that keeps its books in Twinfield: every office under one consent, combined into one group report, with the AI analyst on top.
Twinfield is a live connector in Verain Finance.
Frequently asked
How does Verain connect to Twinfield?
Through the Twinfield API, with OAuth consent on Twinfield’s own login page. Verain’s client is certified by Wolters Kluwer. Read-only, with a nightly refresh set up during onboarding.
Do I connect each office separately?
No. One consent covers every office the authorising user can see in Twinfield. For each office you choose the period Verain starts reading from.
What happens when an entry is deleted in Twinfield?
Twinfield keeps its own list of deleted transactions. Verain reads it with each nightly refresh, so the deletion reaches your reporting in the same nightly run.
Where does my data live?
Stored in Germany and isolated to your tenant: each customer’s ledger data sits in its own database files.
Is my data used for training?
Verain trains no model on your data. The system learns from your corrections, such as confirmed account mappings, within your own tenant. Which AI model powers it is a choice per customer: a frontier model, a European model such as Mistral, a route that keeps inference in the EU under your own cloud account, or a self-hosted open model.
Can my accountant get access?
Yes. Multiple users with roles and permissions. Report figures drill through to the entries beneath them, and every change is logged in the audit trail, which is what makes the file defensible.
What does it cost?
Verain Finance is a subscription scaled to the number of entities and the depth of analysis you need. A short call about your setup produces an accurate price. Book a demo.
